The Blen Dor Recirculation Door (dr)

A replacement recirculation door for the 99/04 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee all models 

This replacement door requires the Instrument Panel to be removed.

This recirculation door would be used to replace the broken (OEM) plastic recirculation door. Or if you ever have to remove the dashboard to access the HVAC box for other repairs, like to replace the heater core or the evaporator, etc.  That would be the time to replace the existing plastic recirculation door with the Blen Dor Recirculation Door (dr) kit to divert the future #52 - the recirculation door problem. 

If the HVAC box is opened for the other repairs, you could also replace the existing plastic blend doors with the “Blen Dor Dual Control (dr)” kit to divert the future problem of the blend door failure.  See the Blen Dor Dual Contol (dr) kit listing for more information.

After the recirculation door housing is removed from the HVAC box, remove the recirculation door actuator motor, the white plastic drive connector piece and the plastic recirc door.

There are only two parts to install.

Put the recirc door in place.

Push the drive connector piece into the shaft of the recirc door.

Replace the recirc door actuator motor. 

The job is done.

The Blen Dor Recirculation Door (dr) kit will replace the plastic drive connector piece and the plastic recirc door with solid air craft quality aluminum parts.  The first piece is the recirc door axle shaft.  It is a ½” solid piece of aluminum rod with 1/16” aluminum sheet stock tig welded onto the door axle shaft and a 1/4” vinyl foam rubber (High adhesion strength adhesive with a very good temperature range) covering applied to both sides of the door panel to make a one piece door assembly.  The second piece is the drive connector it is a ½” solid piece of aluminum rod and steel roll pins with the stop pin attached.  The drive connector is machined to fit the actuator motor and to fit onto the end of the recirc door axle shaft assembly.  

This door is designed to last longer than the vehicle.
